The cottage animals are an ongoing personal project of mine, inspired by books like the “Wind in the Willows” or “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” but also more modern whimsical cartoons such as “Over the Garden Wall”. They are a band of quaint little critters living together in their odd little town.
While they are meant to look simple in style i tried to give them lots of expression, like there’s something there for the viewer to connect to, some hidden life underneath, doubts and hopes and wishes.
