When i started designing and drawing my personal project the “cottage animals” I also made the decision to built them as puppets to train myself as a fabricator and to test out taking storytelling and illustration pictures with them, too.
The first one is Magnus, the little bird boy who wants to be magician one day. Here you can see the little one finding his wand, even though to our eyes it’s just a twig.
The cottage animals live in their weird little town, meddling in each others lives and going on their small adventures together.
There is Magnus the bird, Frederic the excitable frog, Melvin the sassy fox, Matilda the melancholic raccoon and Fiona the responsible home-making rabbit.
In time i’ll try to make all of them and their little patches of nature to inhabit.
