The Apartment was done as part of my costume design studies and is based on the screenplay written and directed by Billy Wilder. The goal was to reinterpret the story trough our own perspective, make costumes for the main characters and do a potoshooting for one or more scenes to show a glimpse of our vision of the movie.
I decided to build and clothe puppets instead of actors and choose a concept that build upon that foundation and included life-acting, simple 2D-Animation and Puppet Stop Motion Animation. The main focus was the question of humanity and what it is that makes us human rather than a mere cog in the machine.
